CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO (KFOX14/CBS4) — Law enforcement in Ciudad Juarez rescued a dozen kidnapped migrants from a home– among them children.
According to the state government of Chihuahua, on January 7, state police patrolling the Bellavista neighborhood received a 911 call regarding a kidnapping in that area.
State agents described seeing a woman looking out the window, asking for help.
Authorities said they jumped into action and ended up rescuing 12 migrants (seven Mexicans, five from other undisclosed countries), including some minors.
The 12 migrants were medically evaluated.
However, the kidnappers were nowhere to be found.
Authorities initiated an operation to find them, but no arrests were made.
