According to site and building permits filed with local and county authorities, the former Margaritas building at 10280 W. Hwy. 29 will be redeveloped into an Ally Medical Emergency Room.
Permit documents list the project scope as the renovation of the existing restaurant building into an 8,746-square-foot freestanding emergency room, along with an additional 850-square-foot expansion. Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation records list the project as a $4.5 million, privately funded redevelopment, with work scheduled to begin May 1, 2026, and completion anticipated by Dec. 31, 2026.
Ally Medical operates freestanding emergency rooms across Texas, including in the Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston areas. According to the company, its facilities are owned and managed by local, board-certified physicians.
Earlier filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation identified plans for a Q-Mart convenience store with an attached Denny’s restaurant associated with the same address.
However, ownership for Margaritas and Time Out Sports Bar later clarified that the Q-Mart and Denny’s development will be constructed on the adjacent property at the corner of State Highway 29 and County Road 260, not on the Margaritas building site.
