Over the past several months, I’ve heard from families across Johnson County who are increasingly concerned about property taxes. Whether it’s young families trying to buy their first home, seniors on fixed incomes or farmers and landowners who have worked the same land for generations, the concern is the same: Texans are being taxed out of their homes by a system that no longer works.
