This weekend, the 40th bi-annual blood drive takes place at Barnett Harley Davidson in east El Paso and at their former location in Las Cruces. Donors could win a Harley.

Once again, Vitalant is asking El Pasoans to roll up their sleeves and donate blood to help raise the blood supply in El Paso which is critically low.

On top of goody bags, free food and drinks and a free, Harley themed t-shit, donors will also be registered to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Let’s get right to the grand prize, that’s what you’re most interested in, right? It’s an FXDF Fat Bob; a suh-weeeeeet bike worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 grand.

All donors get a shot at the bike as well as food from places like Rudy’s BBQ, Domino’s Pizza, Chik – Fil – A, Dunkin donuts and more as well as soft drinks, chips and a commemorative T-shirt along with a goody bag full of cool stuff.

When & Where Are The Blood Drives?

For El Paso, the blood drive takes place at Barnett Harley Davidson, 8272 Gateway East, between Lomaland and Lee Trevino.

The Las Cruces blood drive takes place at the former Barnett Harley Davidson location at 2600 Lakeside, just off I-10 on the Las Cruces side of Old Mesilla. Hours are:

Friday: 9am – 5pmSaturday: 9am – 5pmSunday: 9am – 3pmMonday: 9am – 3pm (No Monday drive in Las Cruces)

The Barnett’s, who have a long legacy of giving via blood drives and otherwise, in El Paso always have a few TV’s set up so football fans can still catch all the playoff action Saturday and Sunday.

Heading north from El Paso offers not only a chance at the Harley Davidson and potentially saving lives but also a beautiful ride along Highway 28 and some great places to eat or have a beer afterwards like La Posta or Hacienda de Mesilla.
