LUBBOCK, Texas — 54-year-old Leslie Harston was indicted on a murder charge by a Lubbock Grand Jury Tuesday.

Harston was arrested and charged following a shooting on his property in December 2025. The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to shots-fired call on Dec. 8, where they located Harston, who said that he had shot an unknown person on his property. During the investigation, Harston later told police that he had fatally shot Alfredo Franco Garza, 53, near the fence line and then drug him onto his property.
Harston remains incarcerated at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
