The Dallas Mavericks could be without standout rookie Cooper Flagg as they close out a back-to-back Thursday night.

The Mavericks listed Flagg as doubtful for Thursday’s game at American Airlines Center. Flagg left Wednesday’s game, a 118-109 loss to the Denver Nuggets, with a left ankle sprain.

Flagg rolled his ankle at the 6:01 mark of the second quarter while defending Nuggets forward Peyton Watson. Flagg went directly to the locker room and returned to the game with 2 minutes and 35 seconds left in the first half.

He winced as he brought the ball up on his first possession following the injury. While Flagg finished out the rest of the second quarter, he did not return to the game after the halftime break.

Flagg isn’t the only injured Mavericks player to monitor. Daniel Gafford (right ankle sprain), P.J. Washington (right ankle), Moussa Cisse and Miles Kelly were listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.

Gafford also left Wednesday night’s game early due to a right ankle sprain.

Meanwhile, Max Christie (illness) is also doubtful for the Utah matchup.
