January calls for a softer pace, and the W Marriott Dallas Arts District delivers with “plant therapy” at 8 Hundred North. Vincent’s Lodge at Vincent’s Sky Bar
JW Marriott Dallas Arts District | Through February
Winter stretches on in the best way at Vincent’s Lodge, the seasonal alpine-inspired transformation of Vincent’s Sky Bar. Lantern light, layered textures and skyline views set the mood on the rooftop terrace, while the menu leans into cold-weather comfort—think shareable cheese and chocolate fondues, elevated soups and nostalgic pairings like lobster bisque with a patty melt. Winter cocktails built around honey, apple, pear, pumpkin, mezcal and Scotch round out the experience. It’s open nightly from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Icons of Liberation: King and Mandela
African American Museum, Dallas
This powerful exhibition examines the lives and legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela, placing their leadership and global impact into sharp, resonant context. A meaningful and timely visit, it offers reflection and perspective as the month invites remembrance. The exhibition also acts as a thematic prelude to the Museum’s upcoming presentation, Nelson Mandela: The Official Exhibition, on view June 13 through Nov. 1, 2026.
If You Only Do One Thing…
Late Night at the Dallas Museum of Art
Friday, Jan. 23 | 7:00–11:00 p.m.
There’s no better way to experience Dallas culture in January. Late Night at the DMA transforms the museum after hours into a vibrant social and creative hub. Guests enjoy after-hours access to two major exhibitions: International Surrealism, featuring landmark works from the Tate collection and tracing the movement’s global reach and Constellations, the DMA’s expansive contemporary jewelry exhibition that treats wearable design as art. Live music, cocktails, art-making activations and curator-led moments unfold throughout the museum, making the evening both a polished night out and a rare opportunity to experience two headline exhibitions in one visit.
