Temperatures haven’t dropped below 32 degrees once yet this January. But that’s expected to change this weekend.
The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office is forecasting a “widespread freeze” for the early hours of Sunday morning, when the temperature is expected to be at or below freezing for eight hours. In that period, the temperature is expected to drop to 26 degrees, with a “feels like” temperature of 22 degrees.
D-FW residents should get a brief reprieve from freezing temperatures Sunday night, with a low of 36 degrees, before the risk of a freeze is forecasted to return Monday night. It isn’t expected to be as strong as Saturday night, but the temperature is still expected to reach 30 degrees in the early hours of the morning.
