The Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks play in what might be the tank-off of the season so far. The Dallas Mavericks are coming into this one without Anthony Davis and now without Cooper Flagg because of a turned ankle in Dallas’ last game.
Utah will be without Lauri Markkanen in this one because of illness.
Both teams are playing on the back end of a back-to-back, but Utah is traveling from their game in Chicago last night, where they lost a close one by two. Dallas made things interesting with Denver but were eventually beaten out by Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. A lot is on the line for the Jazz in this game. They are in desperate need of improving their draft position so they can keep their pick. For Dallas, this is the last season they own their pick until a 4-year period owing it to other teams. We’ll see who is willing to do more to accomplish their goals.
