Get ready for some cold mornings ahead. An arctic cold front will be bringing some short lived, but very cold, temperatures to the Lubbock area this weekend. With overnight temperatures expected to bring about a hard freeze for our area.

From Blowing Dust Friday to Cold Mornings in Lubbock

Friday will not be a beautiful day around the Lubbock area. High’s will be in the 50’s with blowing dust throughout the day. You may not need a jacket on Friday, but an arctic cold front will bring cold temperatures for a short time. According to KAMC, temperatures on Saturday should be in the upper 30’s. Low temperatures Saturday into Sunday will be in the teens.

On Sunday, temperatures are expected to rebound into the 60’s but overnight lows will plunge into the 20’s.

Another Cold Front Will Blow Through Lubbock Monday

Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid-40’s according to KAMC’s forecast today. There could be a slight chance of rain near the end of next week, and we could use it.

The artic cold front we are experiencing here this weekend is expected to push through most of Texas meaning a pretty cold Saturday around the state.
