SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio City Council has voted to move forward with plans to buy a big piece of downtown that will be used for the site of a new Spurs arena. The price tag is around 30-million dollars.

The nearly six-acre property is currently owned by the federal government, which must accept the offer. It will be used for residences, businesses and office space as part of the mixed-use development tied to the team’s future Hemisfair home.
