Officials with Dallas Animal Services are planning two adoption events this weekend.
The shelter will hold adoption events on January 17 – one in Highland Village, and one in Dallas.
“Looking for a new best friend? We’ve got two chances to meet adoptable DAS pets this Saturday,” DAS officials wrote. “Come snuggle, shop, and maybe go home with your new co-pilot.”
The adoption event in Highland Village will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. near Walmart Supercenter and PetSmart, at 3060 Justin Road.
The event in Dallas will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. near Half Price Books, at 5803 E. Northwest Highway.
“Whether you’re ready to adopt, thinking about fostering, or just want to show some love to shelter pets — come say hi,” officials wrote. “Every visit helps our animals shine.”
Two weeks later, on January 31, Dallas Animal Services is planning two free adoption events.
The shelter will offer free adoptions at a “Bernie’s Buddy” event at 5474 Grandscape Blvd. in The Colony. This event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dallas Animal Services will also offer free adoptions at the Crockett Dog Park dedication ceremony, at 501 N. Carroll Ave. in Dallas. This event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“We’ll have some wonderful, adoptable dogs ready to go home,” officials wrote. “Adoption fees are waived and we will be processing adoptions onsite! You could go home with your new best friend the same day.”
