EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso Electric reported dozens of power outages in the Borderland, affecting thousands of people, mostly in West El Paso and surrounding areas.

According to EP Electric’s outage map, dozens of outages were reported on Friday at around 1 p.m., impacting over 10,000 customers in the neighborhoods close to Mesa Hills Drive, Sunland Park Drive and McNutt Road.

EP Electric estimates that power will return at around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Drivers in the area have even reported traffic lights not working.

No word yet on what caused the power outages.
