LUBBOCK, Texas (THE UNITED FAMILY) – In observance of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, The United Family will join One Voice, Voice of Hope, and Open Door on Tuesday, January 20, at 10 a.m. to kick off the Texas Blue Sand Project on the South Plains.
The time will be spent explaining the Texas Blue Sand Project initiative and how it works. In partnership with The United Family, One Voice, Voice of Hope, and Open Door will enlist the help of the community to participate in this project. These organizations will also speak about the work they do to help human trafficking survivors from across the region.
In addition, The United Family will highlight its human trafficking sticker initiative across all of its store locations as well as the United Express fuel stations. The initiative is to place stickers inside every bathroom to not only raise awareness of the problem, but to also provide information that could help a victim.
