It’s time to bundle up, D-FW.
Temperatures are expected to drop to the mid-20s Saturday night across the core of the metro area, with even colder temperatures possible in more rural locations. If you haven’t already, it’s important to protect exposed pipes, bring in sensitive plants and make a plan for pets.
Before the overnight freezing temperatures, there is a chance of snow flurries during the day Saturday in the northern part of the region, particularly along the Red River. These flurries are not expected to stick to the ground, as temperatures are forecast to be above 32 at ground level.
Saturday night, the temperature is expected to drop below freezing by midnight and isn’t expected to rise above that mark until 9 a.m.
