SAN ANTONIO – A verbal altercation between a man and a woman ended when the man attacked the woman with a knife, before turning it on himself.
Around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to the scene of a reported cutting in progress near the corner of Loop 1604 East and Bulverda Road on the Northeast Side.
When police arrived, they found both the victim and suspect with stab wounds and rushed both of them to the hospital for their non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say that the male suspect and female victim were involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect pulled out a knife and attacked the victim.
After attacking the victim, the suspect then turned the knife on himself. When police arrived, the woman was taken to the hospital, and the suspect was treated for his injuries before being arrested.
Police are still working to determine what led up to this incident. This is still an ongoing investigation.
