On Thursday night, The Washington Post released an exclusive report that the El Paso County Office of the Medical Examiner was likely to rule Lunas Campos’ death a homicide.Â
2. Greg Abbott has $105 million on hand for reelection campaign
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is heading into his fourth campaign season in the gubernatorial race this year with a sizeable war chest.
Abbott detailed his current finances in a news release stating that Texans for Greg Abbott (TGA) has over $105 million cash on hand and his campaign has $648,687 cash on hand. Nearly $23 million was raised during this past reporting period, with more than 48,000 individual contributions spanning every county in Texas.
3. Texas health experts warn of flu outbreak as school begins
Health experts are continuing to warn families about a major flu outbreak, especially as children go back to school this month.
Some doctors are calling it one of the worst outbreaks in decades, so much so that they’re calling it the super flu.

A mistakenly deported Babson student’s lawyer wants a judge to order her return
A federal judge should order the Trump administration to come up with a plan to return a Babson College student mistakenly deported to Honduras just before Thanksgiving, her lawyer said in a court document filed Friday.
