SAN ANTONIO – Drivers on the northwest side should brace for significant traffic disruptions this weekend due to construction closures and the Martin Luther King Jr. march.
The I-10 mainlanes and Loop 1604 frontage roads will be closed, with partial closures on the Loop 1604 mainlanes allowing some traffic through.
The I-10 frontage roads will remain open. All closures are set to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
The MLK march will commence Monday morning, starting at Martin Luther King Jr. Academy and proceeding down Martin Luther King Drive, concluding at Pittman Sullivan Park.

The march begins at 10 a.m., with lineup starting at 7:30 a.m., prompting early road closures. Free VIA Park and Ride services will be available from 8 a.m., with parking at St. Philip’s College and Alamodome Lot C.
