FORT WORTH – Donna Stott, 69, beloved wife, friend, and woman of deep faith, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Donna was a devoted stepmother to Shannon Sosa and a loving grandmother to Olive Sosa and Ivy Sosa. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Danny Sosa; her cherished mother, Donna Helvey, age 93; her sisters, Connie Wright and Julia Hopkins; and her many nieces and nephews. Donna shared a particularly close bond with her sister Julia, and together they lovingly ensured that their mother was always well cared for. Donna dedicated 32 years of her professional life as a private secretary to prominent CPA Bill Woods. Following his passing, she retired and embraced the joy of travel with her husband, creating many treasured memories together. A woman of strong faith, Donna deeply loved her church and especially cherished her time singing in the choir. She had been singing since the age of eight and found great comfort in music and worship. Each morning began with reading her Bible, and she also enjoyed quiet moments of pencil coloring-often illustrating verses from Scripture. Donna delighted in spending summers in Colorado, where she and her husband enjoyed exploring nature through Jeeping adventures. Their travels took them to many meaningful destinations, including the Ark Encounter in Kentucky, the Smoky Mountains, Alaska, Colorado, and Utah-many of these journeys shared with dear friends. Donna’s kindness, warmth, and gentle affection touched countless lives. Though her passing came swiftly-just 20 days after her diagnosis-she was at peace and prepared to meet the Lord. She will be missed beyond words by her husband, who finds comfort in knowing that Donna is now in heaven, reunited with those who went before her.
