After light snow flurries and hopes of winter to start the weekend, North Texas is heading into a warmer Sunday.

Day temperatures are expected to top off at 60 degrees with some wind chills in the early hours of the day, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

There is an elevated fire threat due to wind gusts as high as 20 mph to 25 mph and humidity in the 15-20% range in areas near I-35, the weather service’s forecast said.

Overnight temperatures are forecast to be near freezing with a low around 33 degrees.
