A pair of major Hollywood stars were spotted in Austin this week, but it’s far from the first time they’ve made a visit to the Lone Star State. The stars of The Bourne Trilogy and Batman v. Superman swung by one of Austin’s top burger joints while likely promoting their new film.

Actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon visited Austin on Thursday, January 15, and paid a visit to NADC (Not a Damn Chance) Burgers on East Sixth Street. A staff worker at NADC Burgers confirmed the visit with MySA and shared the pair ate at the Shokunin ATX next door for privacy. A video was captured of Affleck smiling at fans in the burger joint before getting in a car to depart the area.

It’s unclear why the pair are in Austin, but it’s likely they were promoting their new action thriller The Rip, which premiered on Netflix this Friday, January 16. It’s the 18th film the two have collaborated on, and the first time acting together since 2021’s The Last Duel.

This was far from the first time Affleck has visited Austin. He was an original member of 1993’s Dazed and Confused, the film that introduced the world to Matthew McConaughey, and was at SXSW last March to promote The Accountant 2.

Damon, star of The Odyssey, was previously in Austin for SXSW in 2023 and 2025 and famously filmed in Texas for All the Pretty Horses in 2000.

Affleck and Damon have been two of the biggest actors in Hollywood since their performance in 1997’s Good Will Hunting, which won them the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Since then Affleck has starred in films such as Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Gone Girl and The Accountant (on top of directing Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo), while Damon has starred in the Ocean’s trilogy, Saving Private Ryan, The Departed, The Martian and dozens more.

MySA has reached out to NADC Burgers for comment on Affleck and Damon’s visit.
