A 30-year-old man died after he allegedly pointed a gun at a man who then shot him, the Dallas Police Department said.

DALLAS — A man died after he was shot and killed during a confrontation in western Dallas, police said. 

Officers responded to a shooting call around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, to the 7400 block of Hunnicut Road, the Dallas Police Department said in a press release. 

Investigators found that 30-year-old Anthony Turner pointed a gun at another man, who then shot Turner, the release states. 

Dallas-Fire Rescue responded and Turner died at the scene, police said. 

It’s unclear what led up to the incident, according to the release. Police will seek a Grand Jury Referral in the case, officials said.Â
