Firefighters responded to a house fire around 8:41 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, in the 7900 block of Bonito Drive, the Arlington Fire Department said in a press release.

ARLINGTON, Texas — A dog was rescued from a burning two-story home on Sunday morning, officials say. 

Firefighters responded to a house fire around 8:41 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, in the 7900 block of Bonito Drive, the Arlington Fire Department said in a press release. 

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the attic of a two-story home, the release states. Crews determined there was fire coming from the rear patio and extended to the second-floor and attic space, officials said. 

All of the home’s residents were outside when firefighters arrived, and one dog was rescued from the home, the release states. The fire was brought under control in less than 30 minutes, officials said. 

The Grand Prairie Fire Department and the Mansfield Fire Department also responded to the scene, police said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.Â
