Three players from the Oregon Ducks‘ 2025 roster have followed former defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi to California, with multiple staff members also following the former DC. While the same can’t be said about former offensive coordinator Will Stein at Kentucky as far as players, he has managed to pluck several coaches to be on his staff in Lexington.

Oregon analyst Dallas Warmack is the latest, as CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported the news on Sunday morning that Kentucky is expected to hire Warmack as the program’s assistant offensive line coach.

Warmack was a highly-rated prospect himself coming out of high school in 2015, eventually committing to Alabama where he played for three seasons. He then transferred to Oregon, where he started 24 of 26 games at right guard, ultimately earning a PFF third-team All-PAC 12 honor as a redshirt senior in 2019.

After college, Warmack bounced around in professional football and last played in the XFL before joining Oregon’s staff as an analyst.

He’ll now head to Kentucky with Stein and be the assistant offensive line coach and help improve a unit that tied for allowing the 99th-most sacks in the nation a season ago. The rushing attack wasn’t particularly stout either, as the Wildcats finished 86th in rushing offense. It all culminated in a 5-7 overall and 2-6 SEC record.

The Oregon program has lost several promising lineman in the trenches via the transfer portal and is set to lose a promising young coach in Warmack as well.
