The early voting period has begun for the November Richardson ISD bond election.

Lake Highlands neighbors will have the opportunity to cast their votes early on the three RISD bond propositions from Oct. 20 through Oct 31. In addition to the district’s $1.4 billion bond package, neighbors will also decide on 17 amendments to the Texas Constitution.

RISD trustees called the election in August after approving the recommended propositions put forward by the bond steering committee. Across three propositions, the district is asking voters to fund middle school rebuilds and remodels, instructional materials, stadium upgrades and technology purchases.
