SAN ANTONIO – The medical examiner has identified the man who was found shot to death in a vehicle early Saturday morning.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old DeShawn Suggs on Sunday. His manner of death was ruled a homicide by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

Around 4:12 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to the scene of a reported shooting in progress near the corner of Tiger Field and Coral Bay on the far West Side.

According to police, when officers arrived, they found the male victim lying unresponsive inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say that they’re working to determine what led up to the shooting, noting that the vehicle and the neighboring residence were riddled with bullet holes.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
