How can you watch the Dallas Mavericks vs. New York Knicks game on the NBA on NBC?

The Dallas Mavericks will be the visiting team as they travel to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks on MLK Day, Monday, January 19. Tipoff time is set for  5 p.m. ET, with the game airing live on NBC and also streaming in simulcast on Peacock

The Knicks and Mavs only play each other twice during the 2025-2026 regular season, and this will be the two teams’ second meeting. Their first matchup on November 19 in Dallas was a scorcher: The Knicks notched a tight 113-111 victory on the strength of Jalen Brunson’s team-leading 28 points, including a game-icing free throw to seal the win in the game’s final moments.

Brunson’s been recently listed as day-to-day on an otherwise healthy Knicks squad… but the Mavericks, meanwhile, have been juggling multiple injuries that’ve pushed all but one of their starters onto the day-to-day injury report. That includes Cooper Flagg, the Mavs’ star rookie, who sustained an ankle sprain on January 14, plus rebound magnet P.J. Washington, who’s also been managing ankle issues. Making the Mavs’ job even tougher is the sustained absence of All-Star Anthony Davis, who continues to sit out with a left hand injury. But one thing we know about Coach Jason Kidd’s squad, they’ll show up regardless of who’s suited up.
