GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW

Combine the beauty of bubble artistry with music, lights, lasers and some soapy science lessons, and you’ve got this family-friendly show. For more than two decades, the Gazillion Bubble Show has been filling theaters, with performances around the world and appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America and other TV programs. FREE Green thumbs are optional at this family-friendly party celebrating all things related to houseplants. JIAOYING SUMMERS

Jiaoying Summers was auditioning for the TV police drama Rebel when executive producer John Singleton (Boyz N the Hood) heard her telling jokes and suggested she try comedy. Following his advice, the Chinese immigrant performed at her first open mic night in 2019 and quickly made a name for herself in the Los Angeles comedy scene. She began posting on TikTok in 2020, and she has since gained more than 1.8 million followers and accumulated over 1 billion views, thanks to her observations from an immigrant’s perspective and dark humor inspired by Joan Rivers, her comedy idol. MANIA: THE ABBA TRIBUTE

Relive the magic of the ABBA era at this tribute show, which aims to re-create the experience of watching the legendary Swedish band in concert. Billing itself as “the world’s No. 1 touring ABBA tribute,” the group has played more than 3,000 live concerts in more than 35 countries. The show has had a pair of residences in London’s West End and has toured the United States every year since 2009. FREE If you’re eager to get the kids out of the house, this weekly entertainment series at Galleria Dallas can help. Tommy Terrific’s Wacky Magic Show offers a mix of magic and laughs, with an educational focus. Tommy engages the audience in all of his tricks and shows kids how much fun reading can be. This three-week event offers live music, a petting zoo, rodeos, livestock shows, a carnival midway, shopping and more. At Will Rogers Memorial Center, country singer Colter Wall will perform a pair of shows with special guest Hayden Redwine, on Jan. 23-24 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be free live music in the Michelob Ultra Roadhouse and The Corkyard.

AEW: COLLISION

If your New Year’s resolution was to watch more pro wrestling, then you’re in luck. All Elite Wrestling has brought its AEW: Collision series to Arlington for a monthlong residency, with four of January’s five Saturdays featuring shows at Esports Stadium Arlington. The venue has hosted several AEW events since 2024, most recently “Supercard of Honor” on July 11.

ASTRA LUMINA

Follow a pathway of light on this one-mile night walk at the Trinity Forest Adventure Park. Meant to mimic the feel of visiting the stars, this multisensory experience uses projections, lighting and music to create a sense of wonder for visitors of all ages. The journey through nine cosmic installations, from the multimedia entertainment studio Moment Factory, takes about an hour to complete. Bring a credit card, because all purchases at the site are cashless.
