Allen continues to attract innovative companies as EagleNXT, a leader in drone and sensor technology, moves its global headquarters to the city.
The relocation highlights Allen’s reputation as a hub for forward-thinking businesses looking to grow in a collaborative, business-friendly environment.
The company, which began in 2010 in Neodesha, Kansas, initially focused on fixed-wing drones for precision agriculture. Last year, it rebranded to EagleNXT, reflecting an expanded mission that includes sensor manufacturing and advanced drone solutions.
A Strategic Move For Growth
EagleNXT, formerly known as AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc., will operate from a 33,000-square-foot site at 505 Century Parkway. The facility will bring together engineering, customer support, marketing teams, and drone production under one roof. The Dallas Business Journal reports that the move will give the company access to a deep talent pool and accelerate its work on drones, sensors and software.
By choosing Allen, EagleNXT gains access to a skilled workforce, strategic North Texas location and strong economic development network. The city’s infrastructure and collaborative business community align with EagleNXT’s long-term vision of reshoring manufacturing to the U.S. and advancing drone technology.
“Their move underscores Allen’s position as a vibrant, future-focused community where innovative companies can grow and thrive,” said the Allen Economic Development Corporation.
Looking Ahead
Operations at the new headquarters are set to begin in May, with a grand opening ceremony planned for April. Over the next two years, the Allen facility is expected to employ at least 25 people, complementing EagleNXT’s existing production facility in Switzerland.
As EagleNXT settles into its new home, Allen solidifies its reputation as a destination for high-growth companies shaping the future of technology and manufacturing.
