LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – After a statement week that included two wins at home- 88-74 over Utah, and 84-71 win over then- No. 11 BYU, the Texas Tech Red Raiders (14-4, 4-1) are now ranked No. 12 in the new Associated Press ranking released Monday, three spots higher than from the previous week.
Other Big 12 schools include:
Arizona (18-0, 5-0), 6. Houston (17-1, 5-0), 9. Iowa State (16-2, 4-1) 13. BYU (16-2, 4-1), and 19. Kansas (13-5, 3-2).
UCF (14-3, 3-2) is also receiving votes.
The Red Raiders will seek out their fourth-straight win Tuesday night in Waco, where they will take on the Baylor Bears (11-6, 1-4). Tip-off slated for 8 p.m. at Foster Pavilion.
From there, they return to Lubbock for a rematch with the Houston Cougars. A win would avenge their one loss in conference play. ESPN’s College GameDay will be in town for the matchup.
