Firefighters swiftly extinguish kitchen fire at North Side apartment near airport

SAN ANTONIO — Crews quickly put out a kitchen fire at an apartment complex on the city’s North Side Monday night.

Firefighters were dispatched around 8:45 p.m. to the 12600 block of Uhr Lane near the San Antonio airport.

An official with the San Antonio Fire Department said the fire started in the kitchen and was out pretty quickly.

Crews are working on getting smoke out and checking for any extensions.

No injuries were reported.
