Houston police investigate a deadly shooting at Big K’s Sports Bar, leaving one man dead. The victim’s identity and suspect details remain unknown.
HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting at a sports bar on the city’s south side Monday night.
According to Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department, officers were sent to the scene at 9:21 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired at Big K’s Sports Bar, located at 12805 Cullen Boulevard.
Police say officers arrived to find one man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near the front door of the bar. Investigators said the victim’s friends dragged him further inside the bar before leaving the location.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Investigators said there was no information available about any disturbance or incident leading up to the shooting, and they are still working to determine what happened. No suspect information has been released, and it is not yet clear whether anyone else was injured.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Houston Police Department Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers as the investigation continues.
