CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Highway Patrol said a 65-year-old man died over the weekend after crashing in Gregory.

Troopers said it received reports of a single vehicle crash last Saturday around 12:09 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the driver of a 2024 Chevy blazer trapped inside his vehicle.

An investigation revealed the driver was traveling northeast on FM 3284 when the car left the roadway in a curve and drove into a ditch. Due to the impact of the crash it caused the vehicle to roll over before striking a culvert causing it to go airborne and travel into a private yard.

The man was trapped inside the vehicle and  died of his injuries at the scene

Troopers identified the man as Donald Humphrey of Bayside. The cause of the crash is unknown. Troopers in Sinton continue to investigate.
