LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock County grand jury indicted a 49-year-old man Tuesday on charges of assaulting and strangling a woman in November.
Robert Arnold was arrested by Lubbock police for the original offense and posted bail, according to court documents. He is now back in the Lubbock County Detention Center accused of violating two protection orders and tracking the woman with a GPS system.
Court documents state Arnold kidnapped the woman at gunpoint, held her against her will and assaulted her over three days. The woman convinced him to let her go and called police.
Lubbock Police Department officers arrested Arnold again. Records show Arnold called the woman while being booked into the detention center, violating a protection order she has against him.
Arnold is held on a combined bond of $925,000.
