Krystal Garcia, known to most El Pasoans as Krystall Poppin, has been making a name for herself in the music scene for years and her hustle is not stopping anytime soon!
As a proud Mexican-American woman born and raised in El Paso, she carries her city with her in everything she does. Most recently she teamed up with El Paso’s undefeated boxing star Stephanie Han to create a special song for her to walk out to in her most recent match.
The song titled ‘The Moment’ is a song about women-empowerment and Krystal was happy to use her talents to help support other women who are doing great things for our community.

Krystall Poppin Day in El Paso, TX
The city came together Tuesday morning to officially proclaim January 27, 2026 as Krystall Poppin Day.
This milestone marks the second time Krystall has received this honor. Last year, she was recognized by the County of El Paso, and now the City of El Paso made it official! Solidifying her impact not only as an artist, but as a role model. City Representative Rocha shared a post congratulating Krystall, writing:
From music and film to community impact, Krystall Poppin represents the creativity and strength rooted in El Paso. Celebrating local artists like her is a reminder of the powerful voices and stories that come from our borderland and deserve to be recognized on every stage.

El Paso Proud is More Than Just A Statement
For Krystall, this moment is deeply personal. She hopes this recognition inspires the next generation of Mexican-American girls from El Paso to dream boldly, stand confidently, and never allow limits to be placed on their potential.
Krystall loves showing love to her community and this month she will be doing that in the form of a Bazaar, “KRYSTALL POPPIN FOR A PURPOSE FEST.”
The Bazaar will take place where Krystall grew up and all proceeds will go toward repairs for the Our Lady of Assumption Church Gym/Hall, helping restore a space that means so much to not only Krystall, but to so many others who use the space.
Tuesday’s proclamation wasn’t just about a proclamation, it was about celebrating a strong Mija who continues to remind others to never forget where they came from and to keep on hustling, no matter what!
