It’s a new week, which means it’s time to mine Landman’s latest episode for North Texas Easter eggs. The West Texas-set oil rig drama, co-created by Taylor Sheridan, has shot across Dallas-Fort Worth. The script, accordingly, reflects the milieu.
The final episode of season 2 dropped on Sunday. Here are some of the local ties from “Tragedy and Flies.”
Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
The facade of the Meyerson Symphony Center can be seen in one scene, when Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) calls oil executive Bob (guest star Colin Ferguson) to meet. In the wake of being fired as M-Tex Oil’s president, Tommy is focused on his next move.
News Roundups
“My lunch is free,” Bob says over the phone, as he walks in the Arts District. “Mister Charles? Say 12:30,” he says.
Mister Charles
Mister Charles’ dimly-lit interior is shown on-screen. In real life, Thornton and a production crew appeared on Knox Street in July. The Landman lead was spotted walking into the Michelin-Recommended restaurant.

The Chumley House
Tommy’s ex-wife, Angela (Ali Larter), and Bella (Stefania Spampinato), the wife of cartel boss Gallino (Andy Garcia), dine at The Chumley House in Fort Worth.
Bella describes the fine-dining spot as her favorite in the city. “There is nobody in the U.S. that can make a beef Wellington even edible, but here is, Mamma mia.” Angela demurs, saying the dish is a little heavy. Per Bella’s recommendation, she settles for the blue crab pot pie.

The Fort Worth university is once more featured in the Landman universe. Ali and Tommy’s daughter, Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), attends a cheerleading camp on the school’s Lowdon Track and Field Complex.
