Suspect dead after leading Grand Prairie Police on a chase into Dallas, officials say

According to officials on scene, Grand Prairie Police attempted to stop a possible DUI suspect.

DALLAS — One person is dead after a chase with Grand Prairie Police, officials say. 

Overnight Wednesday, Grand Prairie Police observed and attempted to stop a possible DUI suspect, according to Grand Prairie police officers on the scene.

The suspect kept driving, leading police on a chase into Dallas, police said.

Officials say the suspect crashed their vehicle near Interstate 30 and Cockrell Hill Road, where he died from his injuries. 

Police are investigating the incident.
