CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A single-story home on Mendoza Street suffered significant damage in a house fire that broke out Tuesday, leaving the occupants displaced but uninjured.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Tony Perez, emergency crews responded to the 1000 block of Mendoza Street near Horne Road, where they found the front of the residential structure heavily involved in flames. Firefighters arrived on scene and successfully controlled the fire.
The house sustained significant damage from the fire, forcing the occupants to find other housing. The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the residents.
No injuries were reported in the incident; however, the cause of the fire has not yet been released as officials continue to investigate.
