The league enters its fifth season in 2026, with Dynamo Dos beginning the campaign in its second year under head coach Marcelo Santos, the second Dynamo 2 head coach in Club history. Notably, the 2025 season saw Dos field the youngest team in MLS NEXT Pro, with an average age of just 18.9 years old. A total of 13 Dynamo Academy players made their professional debuts, while four of them scored their first professional goals, including midfielder Noah Betancourt, midfielder Enrique Correa, midfielder Lionel Gitau and defender Omar Flores.
Dynamo 2 kicks off their season with four home matches in their first five games. The slate starts on Opening Weekend versus Colorado Rapids 2 on Sunday, March 1, followed by Tacoma Defiance on March 8, Portland Timbers2 on March 15 and in-state rivals North Texas SC on March 21, the first of three meetings between the sides this season. In 2025, Dynamo 2 finished with a 2-1-0 (WLD) record against North Texas, earning both victories at home.
Dynamo Dos open April with a 10-game road trip, the longest of the season and in team history, beginning against Austin FC II on April 12. Last season, the team earned a 2-1 home victory over Austin II on April 27, with goals from forward Exon Arzú and Correa. The teams met again on May 30, drawing 1-1 on the road before Dynamo 2 claimed two points in the ensuing penalty shootout following two crucial saves by goalkeeper Pedro Cruz, who earned the 2025 Goalie Wars title during the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge.
Houston continues the road trip with matches versus Real Monarchs (April 19), Sporting Kansas City II (April 26), Rapids 2 (May 3), St. Louis CITY2 (May 9), Minnesota United FC 2 (May 16), Timbers2 (May 24), Ventura County FC (June 6), Tacoma (June 17) and LAFC2 (June 28).
