A well-known social media influencer in Houston’s custom car community has been arrested for disturbing charges involving a 2-year-old child.
Victor L. Corey Paillet III, 40, is facing first-degree felony charges after investigators said they received video evidence of the assault.
KPRC 2 Reporter Corley Peel spoke with the family member who reported Paillet to investigators. She said she found the video while going through Paillet’s phone.
She said she went through his phone after he had gotten drunk and fallen asleep.
“I’ve never went through his phone before, never, but his phone was right there, and I’m like, I just feel something’s not right,” she said.
When she picked up his device, the first thing she saw was horrifying.
“I clicked on that first video right there,” she continued. “It was seven minutes and 53 seconds… And it said yesterday at 6:43 a.m.”
Paillet was arrested at the woman’s home in Porter last week. She provided KPRC 2 with surveillance footage of when the arrest occurred from the house’s porch.
The audio from the footage is disturbing, but a female voice can be heard screaming “You raped my f—ing daughter,” and “I hope you die,” as Paillet is escorted away in handcuffs.
Following the discovery, investigators charged Paillet with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child and promotion of child pornography. He is being held without bond.
During the investigation, detectives uncovered information leading them to believe Paillet may have victimized other children, court records say.
Paillet has a large following on social media, where he is known as “Kandy Red Bread.”
His Instagram account has over 62,000 followers as of this writing, where he specializes in customizing cars with iconic Houston-influenced modifications, including “slabs,” “candy paint” and “swangas.”
The bio on his TikTok account currently reads, “Love yourself and don’t trust nobody.”
According to court records, Paillet has a criminal record dating back to 2004 that includes convictions for drug possession, unlawful carrying of a weapon and obstructing highways.
He is known to have connections in Houston and Louisiana and may be known by the aliases “Kandy Red” and “Kandy Red Bread.”
