CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — More than 100 golfers teed off Monday at the Corpus Christi Country Club for the annual CHRISTUS Spohn Foundation Richard King Grand Classic.

The four-man scramble tournament brought together donors and community members to raise funds supporting the CHRISTUS Spohn Health System and rural health care programs throughout the Coastal Bend.

Organizers say the event not only provides a day of friendly competition but also helps ensure access to quality medical care for residents across South Texas.
