Kentucky picked up a big win at home last night over the visiting Texas Longhorns.

The Longhorns entered last night with a record of 11-7, but have a pretty impressive set of wins, defeating Alabama on the road and beating Vanderbilt by 16 to go along with a win over NC State earlier in the season.

However, Kentucky was able to come away with a big win in Rupp Arena over the Longhorns behind 19 points from Denzel Aberdeen and 18 each from Collin Chandler and Otega Oweh, along with an 8 points, 6 assists, and 5 blocks performance from Malachi Moreno.

Kentucky didn’t need a massive comeback in the second half this time to pickup the win. The Wildcats and Longhorns were tied 40-40 at the end of the first half, and Kentucky led by as many as 11 in the second half, but the Longhorns wouldn’t go away without a fight and cut it to 2 with less than a minute to go.

Aberdeen was able to seal the win at the free throw line in the closing seconds to give Kentucky the victory.

However, last night wasn’t all celebration, as we saw Kam Williams leave the game with what seemed to be a non-contact injury. Mark Pope revealed Williams broke his foot, and will be out indefinitely.

Kentucky has had some of the worst injury luck the last few years and that’s just seeming to continue. You hate to see it, especially just as Kam was really coming into his own and becoming a difference-maker for this team.

Just another tough break for Kentucky this season.

Those two have been difference-makers.

At least halftime was a tie.

He’s been such a big part of these last few wins.

The Cats consistently got to the free throw line and converted.

He dropped 70 in the first half…

Where might Giannis land?

This would be a pretty notable change.

Arians didn’t hold back.

Maybe that will help get the Chiefs back on track.

Several assistants seem to think Kerr might be done after this season.
