EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Ahead of the upcoming elections, Texas Governor Greg Abbott will hold an event Thursday at a cantina in El Paso’s Upper Valley, to encourage people to vote.
The event is called “Get Out The Vote” and will start at 3 p.m. at The Riviera Cocina & Cantina, located at 5218 Doniphan Dr., near the Whataburger on Thorn Avenue.
The event is free and is being billed as family-friendly.
Abbott is said to discuss the importance of the Nov. 4 election where Texans will vote on property taxes, bail reform and other issues.
