The Dallas Pulse are off to a strong start in their inaugural season.
Dallas earned its first-ever road win Thursday night, outlasting the Atlanta Vibe in five sets, 20-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 15-9 at Gas South Arena.
Outside hitter Mimi Colyer, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 MLV draft, led all scorers with 24 kills and finished with 26 points on 58 swings. Sofia Maldonado Diaz added 17 kills, while middle blockers Tristin Savage and Layne Van Buskirk combined for 13 kills as Dallas continued to set the tone at the net.
The Pulse (2-1) totaled 12 blocks, their third straight match with double-digit blocks to open the season.
Atlanta (2-3) was led by outside hitter Leah Edmond, who posted 20 kills and a double-double with 13 digs. Opposite Aiko Jones added 15 kills and nine digs.
The Vibe controlled much of the opening set behind Edmond, who recorded eight kills in the frame. The Pulse battled back to tie it at 20-all, but the Vibe closed on a 5-0 run to take the set.
Dallas answered in the second behind Colyer’s eight kills, winning 25-22 to even the match. Momentum swung again in the third as Atlanta edged Dallas 25-23, but the pulse responded with a steady fourth set, pulling away late to force a fifth.
In the deciding set, the Pulse erased multiple early deficits and tied it at 7-7 before finishing with a strong closing run to secure the 15-9 win and seal the match.
Dallas continues its road stretch Sunday at Orlando, facing the Valkyries at 2 p.m. at Addition Financial Arena. The match will stream live on YouTube.
The Pulse returns home Feb. 5 to host the Omaha Supernovas at 7 p.m. at Comerica Center in Frisco.
