If you’re looking for a place to play pickleball, meet new friends and stay active regardless of the weather, Dill Dinkers has arrived in Plano, ready to change the game.

Part of a national network with more than 60 locations (25 open clubs and 375-plus committed locations), Dill Dinkers combines high-quality coaching, fun programming and a welcoming indoor environment for players of all ages and skill levels. From beginners to competitive pros, everyone can enjoy the sport safely and comfortably.

A new home in Plano

Dill Dinkers was founded by Will and Denise Richards in Maryland after facing challenges of playing pickleball outdoors in harsh weather and overcrowded courts. Their vision was to create an indoor space that is safe, fun and inclusive, where players of all skill levels can enjoy the sport year-round.

Plano’s thriving pickleball community made it the perfect choice for expansion.

“A co-owner of Dill Dinkers Plano shared that what began as a small pickleball group of just 10 players quickly grew to nearly 100, with regular tournaments and community events,” the co-owner said. “That’s when we saw the need for a dedicated facility where everyone could play safely, regardless of the weather.”

Another co-owner added, “Our goal was to create a place that feels like a second home. A space where the community comes together, not just for the game, but for each other.”

Play longer and better

Dill Dinkers Plano has 10 state-of-the-art indoor pickleball courts with CushionX flooring, a multilayer surface designed to reduce strain on knees, hips and joints, allowing players to enjoy long sessions comfortably.

“Playing on these courts is a different experience,” said Laura Fenton Kovanda, Director of Operation and Sales and five-time US Open Pro and Senior Pro Champion. “You can go for hours without feeling the aches and joint pain from concrete. It makes the game more enjoyable and helps reduce the risk of injuries.”

Beyond the courts, Dill Dinkers Plano is designed for comfort, convenience and connection.
