Allen ISD’s search for a new superintendent will actually start with finding a search firm, according to district documents.
What’s happening?
The board of trustees approved a motion Jan. 20 enabling district officials to solicit proposals for superintendent search firms. The action comes more than a week after current Superintendent Robin Bullock announced she would retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year.
Under the proposed timeline, board members could select a search firm by Feb. 9 though that could change.
“This is a draft timeline, and this is certainly subject to change based on how things move,” board President Polly Montgomery said.

She also oversaw two successful bond elections in 2020 and 2024 when voters approved more than $656 million.
Quote of note
In a statement, Bullock said she was “blessed” to have served the school district for the past 13 years.
“As I reflect on my time in Allen ISD, I’ll always cherish the moments celebrating our wonderful students, the relationships built with teachers and staff, the collaboration with our community, and the work of our committed school board and cabinet leadership team,” she said. “Allen ISD is a wonderful school district because of our collective commitment to excellence shared by every Allen Eagle.”
