Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) is operating as normal today, Friday, Jan. 23, 2026. Due to expected inclement weather, TAFB will be closed Saturday, Jan. 24 through Monday, Jan. 26, 2026. All operations, including distribution activities, will be suspended during this period to support the safety of our team, volunteers, and the community.
TAFB has been working closely with community partners to prepare for potential impacts, including coordinating weather plans, providing emergency food supplies to local sites, and sharing guidance to help ensure neighbors can access food assistance as safely as possible.
Individuals and families who need food assistance can use TAFB’s Find Food resource at tafb.org/find-food to find food near home. Community sites set their own schedules, and weather may affect hours of operation, so neighbors should call ahead before visiting.
TAFB will continue to monitor conditions through the weekend and will provide updates through our website and social media channels. If the need arises, TAFB is prepared to stand up additional emergency supports to help meet community needs as conditions allow. Please use caution and stay safe if you must travel.
