EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso residents woke up to a wet morning as rain swept through the area, prompting mixed reactions from locals.
Local Max Savedra, a 67-year resident, expressed his fondness for the weather, saying, “I love this weather.”
Local Felix Padron, originally from Miami, shared similar sentiments: “I’m loving it.”

However, the wet conditions have raised concerns about road safety.
Local Sylvia Esparza noted, “I love it if I’m staying inside, but coming and driving, I think it’s very dangerous.”
Drivers on I-10 are advised to heed TxDOT signs warning of water on the roadway.
Padron advised fellow drivers, “They got to be careful. I always follow the turnaround, don’t drown,” he added, “And just keep a distance and just drive safely.”

Roberto, a local DoorDash driver, urged drivers to be considerate, saying, “Don’t be mean. Don’t go fast in those puddles because it’s annoying. I’ve been on the receiving end. It’s bad.”
With more rain and potential winter weather expected through the weekend, El Pasoans are advised to stay cautious and keep their umbrellas and rain jackets handy.
