Don’t expect the Dallas Mavericks to be at full strength Sunday night if, not when, they face the Milwaukee Bucks.
With Dallas on the second leg of a back-to-back after Saturday’s loss to the Lakers and the team dealing with a nightmarish travel schedule trying to get to Milwaukee amid the winter storms in D-FW, the Mavericks appear to be giving several key players the night off.
Both Cooper Flagg and Klay Thompson are listed as doubtful on the injury report with left ankle injury management and left knee injury management, respectively. Brandon Williams and Max Christie were each listed as questionable with lower body injuries. Flagg recently missed multiple games with a left ankle sprain.
However, this could wind up being a moot point given the team’s travel delays getting to Milwaukee. As of early Sunday afternoon, the team plane has not been able to take off from Dallas and the 6 p.m. game against the Bucks is in jeopardy. The Mavericks are communicating with both the Bucks and the NBA about possible postponement options if needed.
