The Dallas Police Department has identified a juvenile whose body was recovered from a pond in southeast Dallas last month, according to a newly released police statement.

Officers originally responded to an “Other” call at approximately 12:45 p.m. on December 25 in the 1400 block of Mission Hills Lane, where an unidentified juvenile was recovered from a nearby pond. At the time, the individual’s identity was unknown.

The following day, on December 26, an individual filed a missing persons report at the Dallas Police Department’s Southeast Division station. Police later confirmed that the juvenile recovered from the pond was the same person reported missing in that case.
